Leaked iPhone 6 Rear Shell Hints at Light Up Apple Logo for Notifications? [Photos]

Another alleged iPhone 6 rear shell leak hints that the device could have a light up Apple logo that acts as a notification indicator.

uSwitch Tech says they've unearthed exclusive photos of a 'market-ready' rear shell. The part was sourced with help from Sonny Dickson.

Previous versions of the rear shell feature the Apple logo embossed on the exterior of the handset; however, in this version the logo is part of a plastic panel that is inserted into a recessed part of the rear panel's interior, peeking through the cutout.

Tellingly, the plastic part looks to have been made thin enough that light can easily shine through to alert you to updates and other important messages. The rear panel in the snaps is also notable for featuring a much slicker, shinier finish than earlier prototype versions, which looked far too rough around the edges to be allowed through Apple’s manufacturing partners’ factory gates and onto shop shelves.

While many are hoping that logo becomes a notification indicator, another possibility is that it's being made of plastic to improve radio signals to the device.

Otherwise, the panel looks similar to previous leaks we've seen. For the latest updates and iPhone 6 leaks, please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS.
