According to a report from MacG, Apple will be giving its iMac line a minor spec bump as soon as next week. The refresh is rumored to include a slight processor speed increases (100mhz). The report speculates that we could even see a price decrease on the machines, as well as a new Thunderbolt 2 port. MacG did accurately predict the MacBook Air refresh that happened last month, so there is a good chance the report is accurate.
Unfortunately it does not seem likely that these iMacs will be getting a retina display anytime soon. We've seen hints at a retina display iMac in both the latest 10.9.4 beta and OS X Yosemite, but it seems that will be something Apple launches later down its pipeline.
