Leaked Photos of OS X 10.10 Reveal New Control Center, Notification Center, and Dock?

Photos have leaked online showing what is allegedly Apple's next generation operating system for Mac.

The photos were originally posted to imgur and announced in this reddit thread, the title of which reads, "The new OSX :) I took these photos myself at Apple in California."

It's unclear how exactly the photos were obtained; however, the reddit moderator was apparently able to verify the authenticity of the poster.

"Received additional qualifying photos from OP (including the unmodified versions of the ones in the album), and verified their connection with Apple thanks to help from the experts at MacRumors."

The first photo shows a new Control Center pane that slides out from the left side of the screen. It features shortcuts for About This Mac, System Preferences, and AirPlay, toggles for Wifi and Bluetooth, controls for Music and Brightness, and buttons for Sleep, Log Out, Restart, and Shut Down.

On the other side of the screen we see an improved Notification Center that looks similar to the Today view on iOS. There's a calendar view, weather, and stock information.

There's also a screenshot of Safari and a view of the dock which features a plain translucent background and a line art Finder icon.

If the Notification Center date is to be believed, the photos were taken on March 24th. This means there may still be quite a few changes in the version Apple debuts later today.

Update:
Unfortunately, we've been asked to take down these photos. We'll be posting clear screenshots later today when Apple officially unveils OS X 10.10. Stay tuned!
