iTunes Accounts vs. Amazon Active Accounts [Chart]

Asymco analyst Horace Dediu has posted a comparison of iTunes accounts and Amazon Active Accounts.

During last quarter's earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company had 800 million registered iTunes accounts, most with a credit card. Dediu compares that to Amazon accounts in the chart below.

Notably, the number of registered iTunes accounts has skyrocketed of late. Many believe that Apple is working on a new mobile payments platform that will leverage these accounts and work with the company's new iBeacon technology.

itunes has been around far long than amazon, but for me that I'm amazed of it how it instantly loops and the clear upbeating rich bass.
