Houdah Software has announced the immediate availability of HoudahSpot 2.5, their popular file search utility for Mac OS X. HoudahSpot 2.5 is a free update, and is recommended for all Leopard users. HoudahSpot 2.5 adds the ability to search "any text" attribute using a single criterion. The user entered text will be matched against any text attribute indexed by Spotlight: title, contents, author, copyright, and more.
Of course HoudahSpot 2.5 still allows you to query attributes individually. You get to chose from a seemingly endless list of attributes both when building criteria and when customizing result view columns. Luckily you may set up templates to store your presets.
