A new report claims to offer a few details on the rumored 12-inch MacBook that Apple is expected to release this year. The author correctly leaked information on the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro in the past.

According to the report, the MacBook Air will be updated soon but updates to the MacBook Pro won't occur until September.

Apple is said to be working on new 12-inch notebook that does not have a fan assembly. It's also said to feature a new trackpad design without a mechanical button.

The author also mentions that an Apple iWatch does exist; however, it's in the prototype stage so an announcement won't come anytime soon.

The often accurate KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted the 12-inch notebook back in October. At the time he said it would have an entirely new design and launch in Q2 or Q3 of 2014. It's also expected to be as portable as the current 11-inch MacBook Air and productive as the 13-inch MacBook Air, featuring a Retina display. More details here.

It's been theorized that the device could feature a resolution of 2732 x 1536.
