Microsoft Windows 8.1 Update 1 has been leaked online head of its expected release in March, reports The Verge.
The leaked build offers a new title bar for Metro apps that lets you close, minimize, and snap apps side-by-side.
On the Start Screen you can now right click on Live Tiles to bring up a contextual menu to resize, unpin, and other options. Also new on the screen is a search button and shutdown option. The search button brings you to the sidebar interface and the shutdown option provides a dropdown list with restart, shutdown, and sleep selections.
Microsoft also added a control panel link to the PC settings section and a new option in the desktop taskbar settings to show Store apps in the taskbar.
The build was compiled three weeks ago on January 14th. It should be released around March 11th, ahead of the Build conference in April.
To clarified, I do have a MBA and I like it very much, but since I have win8.1 with metro on new Lenovo Flex, I did not touch my macbook and osx anymore. And I feel that future is in hybrids with touch screens.
I really do not understand why win8.1 is so criticized. Its way better than anything else so far, including OSX and win7, it has feeling of OS for the future. Maybe it come too early and people are not ready for it.
Windows 8 is like oal 1996, plus slowly improving before win 8, people got used to more features since windows 1 and stopped on 7 because now, half the shit is fcked up, I even tried using the trackpad and half the time it does what it wants.
