Apple is reportedly planning to launch a larger iPhone in May 2014 and a larger iPad in October 2014, according to a DigiTimes report.
The larger iPad is said to target North America's educational market.
Apple's large-size tablet will be manufactured by Quanta Computer, and was originally expected to adopt either 12.9- or 13.3-inch panels, with recent rumors indicating that 12.9-inch has a better chance to be picked, the sources noted.
The larger iPhone is said to use a 20nm processor manufactured by TSMC.
No further details were provided; however, this is not the first time larger iPad and larger iPhone rumors have surfaced.
Just last month the KoreaTimes reported that Retina displays for a 12.9-inch iPad are already in production.
Additionally, a recent report said Apple is testing a 4.9-inch iPhone 6 and a larger version of the iPhone 5c. Also a Bloomberg report claimed that the company will release 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones with displays that curve downward.
