Analyst Trip Chowdhry, the Managing Director of Equity Research at Global Equities Research, believes that the new iPhones will bring in the most successful product launch in the history of Apple.
"The new iPhones will be massively successful," Chowdhry told Benzinga this morning. "This will be the most successful product launch ever in the history of Apple."
Chowdhry believes the new iPhones will be very successful primarily due to many smartphone users in India, Malaysia and Thailand buying cheaper Android devices thinking they are essentially iPhones. With the lower-cost iPhone, Apple can pick up those customers and cash out.
Chowdhry also believes that the ongoing patent battle between Samsung will help differentiate the Apple brand from the competitors. Chowdhry even cites the movie Jobs as evoking a positive emotion towards Apple and its products by consumers.
These words are surprising coming from Chowdhry, as he has been very critical towards Apple.
