Fetch Softworks has announced Fetch 5.3, a new version of the original Macintosh file transfer program. Fetch 5.3 is expressly tailored for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, featuring an updated appearance to match the unified Leopard look, improved Leopard compatibility, and support for several key Leopard technologies. Fetch takes advantage of Leopard code signing, making the system keychain and the new Leopard application firewall more convenient to use.
In addition, Fetch can now upload files to servers using the familiar Copy and Paste commands, and a new preference offers better control over Fetch's extensive file decoding support. Fetch 5.3 is available for downloading from http://fetchsoftworks.com and is a free upgrade for Fetch 5 users.
Fetch 5.3 is a Universal binary, compatible with Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, including Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Fetch 5.3 is free to try for 15 days, and a single-user license is $25. Upgrades from Fetch 5 are free of charge; upgrades from Fetch 4 are available for $15. Free licenses are available for educational and charitable use.
