Tokyo Court Rules Samsung Infringed on Apple's Bounce-Back Patent

A Tokyo court ruled today that Samsung has infringed on Apple's rubber-banding patent, reports Reuters.

Apple claimed that Samsung had copied the "bounce-back", in which icons on its smartphones and tablets quiver back when users scroll to the end of an electronic document. Samsung has already changed its interface on recent models to show a blue line at the end of documents.

Just a week ago the United States Patent and Trademark Office notified Apple that it will issue a reexamination certificate confirming four claims of its rubber-banding or overscroll bounce patent.

The Tokyo court is scheduled to release more details later today.
