Apple is testing a new AirDrop WiFi-direct sharing feature for iOS 7, reports 9to5Mac.
Sources say that the AirDrop functionality is currently integrated into the standard iOS share menu. AirDrop will work between two iOS devices and potentially between an iOS device and a Mac. The feature will make it easier than ever to transfer, for example, a photograph or document from one person’s iPhone to another person’s iPad.
The site is unclear if the AirDrop feature will make the final cut as it has been told that AirDrop was planned for a previous version of the mobile operating system; however, it was scraped before launch.
A previous report on iOS 7 said that Flickr and Vimeo sharing would be added and the user interface would get a black, white, and flat all over design.
