Aero Quartet has released version 1.5 of Treasured, a free application for the Mac that is able to diagnose and preview corrupt movie files. Video Professionals can now check whether an unplayable file still contains the precious footage and is repairable, immediately on their computer.

Treasured integrates with Aero Quartet's Movie Repair Service. A repair request containing all relevant information can be sent in minutes, and the repair delivered in a few hours, saving a lot of time to professionals.

Based on diagnostic and information filled by user, Treasured provides a quotation for the repair. Aero Quartet technicians start working on a customized solution that can be delivered either through file download, or through a Repair Kit, a program to run on customer's own computer. Current track record is above 90% success rate in a 48 hours turn-around time.

New version 1.5 extends and improves the detection and preview of video formats: DVCPro HD, DVCPro50, HDV, Intermediate, XDCAM, ProRes422, DV, H264, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, JPEG. Furthermore, a wide range of file containers are supported: MXF, QuickTime mov, DV, and more.

Treasured uses encrypted data transfer to guarantee user's privacy. For extremely sensitive footage, an "Absolute Privacy" option allows damaged movies to be repaired without being transfered to or seen by Aero Quartet technicians.

Availability:
Treasured is free and runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and higher.
