Logitech has unveiled a wired keyboard for the iPad that is geared towards the classroom environment. The keyboard has an integrated Lightning Connector or 30-pin Connector – depending on which model iPad you choose.
With its durable, spill-resistant design and a key lifespan of more than five million strokes, the Logitech Wired Keyboard for iPad brings Logitech’s expertise and experience in keyboards to the classroom. Its low-profile, full-size keys provide the familiar fluid feedback you’re used to when typing, while saving screen space to make reading and note taking easier. Familiar shortcut keys help you easily access iPad functions, such as copy and paste, Siri and App switching, and an integrated Home button ensures you can get back to the Home screen instantly and easily.
“Schools are increasingly purchasing iPads for use in the classroom,” said Mike Culver, vice president and general manager of mobility at Logitech. “While tablets are enabling new ways of teaching and testing, there’s a challenge when a teacher needs to simultaneously pair multiple iPads with multiple wireless Bluetooth keyboards. We developed the Logitech Wired Keyboard for iPad to specifically solve this problem, so students can now simply plug it in and start typing.”
Pricing and Availability
The Logitech Wired Keyboard for iPad with the Lightning Connector is expected to be available in the U.S. in August 2013, for a suggested retail price of $59.99. The Logitech Wired Keyboard for iPad with the 30-pin Connector is expected to be available in the U.S. in October 2013, for a suggested retail price of $59.99.
