Apple is planning to replace its San Francisco Apple Store with a beautiful new retail store at Union Square, reports AllThingsD.
The new store will be at Stockton and Post. The location is currently a Levi's flagship store which will move to Market Street this summer. It's 24,819 square feet, 45% larger than the current store at Stockton and Ellis. Apple says it will require 400 employees to operate, 50 more than the current location.
“We’re thrilled to be working with the city of San Francisco on a new Apple retail store at Union Square,” Apple said in a statement to AllThingsD. “Our store on Stockton Street has welcomed over 13 million customers since it opened nine years ago, and we look forward to serving them in an amazing new location when this project is complete.”
