Samsung is reportedly preparing to release a Galaxy S4 variant dubbed the Galaxy S4 Zoom' which will feature a 16MP camera with optical zoom.
News of the device was leaked a couple days ago by SamMobile.
Samsung downgraded the screen size of the Galaxy S4 Zoom to a 4.3” qHD SAMOLED display. The phone self-will have 8 GB of storage, MicroSD up to 64 GB, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS and Android OS Jelly Bean and of course Samsung’s own Touch Wiz Nature UX interface.
UnwiredView has now confirmed the existence of the device (model number SM-C1010, or SM-C101) by locating it on Bluetooth SIG.
Apple is expected to upgrade the camera in the next generation iPhone; however, there have been no indications as of yet that the device will feature optical zoom.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom is expected in June.
