DisplaySearch analyst Paul Semenza believes that Apple could release an iPad mini with a Retina Display in the third or fourth quarter of 2013, reports CNET.
"We're seeing potential in the third quarter of panel production for a higher-resolution iPad Mini," DisplaySearch analyst Paul Semenza told CNET today. "When would the Mini be available? Could be third quarter or fourth quarter," he said.
A Retina Display iPad Mini would have a 2048x1536 resolution display with a pixel density of 324 ppi. LG Display is a strong candidate to make the display but AUO, Japan Display, and even Sharp are possibilities, said Semenza.
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster has also predicted a Retina Display later in the year.
