Martin Hajek, working closely with editor Adam Banks, has created a new iWatch concept for MacUser magazine
By using a more ‘traditional’ approach using for instance a normal leather strap, this concept is closer to reality than many other iWatch concepts. Add to that a design language which is carried forward from the current iPhone 5′s design to make the concept seem more credible.
"The brief we gave ourselves was that it had to feel like something we could actually imagine buying from an Apple Store", said Banks. 'We came to the conclusion that Apple’s most likely play would be to keep its watch as conventional as possible, with the feel of something classic rather than excitably innovative. We came back to the classic leather strap, something Apple could make well – like the iPad Smart Cover, for example – but for which third parties could also offer alternatives."
The watch will be featured in the April issue of the magazine.
