A new report from the China Times claims the iPhone 5S will feature a fingerprint scanner and NFC capabilities. Apple is said to have selected Chipbond as the supplier for the required components; as well as for the device's touch display driver.

Rumors of a fingerprint scanner have been popular of late with KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicting last week that the iPhone 5S would offer the feature. Foxconn has reportedly started production of the iPhone 5S on the same line as the iPhone 5 which suggests minimal changes to the device.
