Modality announces that its Brain Quest Blast Off game is now available on the Apple App Store. The new app, developed in partnership with the Workman Publishing Company is based on America's #1 educational bestseller.
"The Brain Quest activities that parents and teachers know and trust really come alive for the kids on the iPod touch and iPhone," commented S. Mark Williams, Ph.D., Modality's CEO and founder. "Animation sequences and Multi-Touch user interactivity keep youngsters excited and engaged. They tap, flick and fly through thousands of grade-specific questions as they strive to earn Genius status at the end of the game."
In Brain Quest Blast Off, players journey through three challenge levels, each consisting of five knowledge areas: math, language arts, science, social studies and grab bag. A series of questions ranging from word jumbles to math equations test students on the same facts and concepts they're learning in school, reinforcing their lessons in a fun new way.
In addition to earning points, students collect dozens of different trophies for their achievements, all displayed in a special trophy showcase. A Free Play setting allows for untimed review. Players can move through hundreds of questions covering all topic areas, randomly generated to keep kids sharp even when they're not in the game play mode.
"Delivering high-quality educational content to iPod touch and iPhone expands the notion of when and where learning can happen," said Williams. "Whether it's thirty minutes at home before bed or five minutes in line at the grocery store, kids can simultaneously play and learn with Brain Quest Blast Off, making them stronger students over time."
