The latest beta of Apple TV firmware released on December 3rd features full support for Bluetooth keyboards, reports 9to5Mac.
The latest Apple TV beta not only has a new Bluetooth menu but you can pair wireless keyboards to both the 2nd and 3rd gen Apple TV. Once connected, you can use a wireless keyboard to completely control the Apple TV without using the included remote. The arrow keys function for navigation. The return key is the play/pause and the escape key maps to ‘menu’ or up ‘one level’ functionality.
This is great news for those who use their Apple TV to search for online videos and even just for logging into Home Sharing. We'll let you know when Apple releases the firmware to the public.
