Tony Fadell, 'Father of the iPod', says Scott Forstall 'got what he deserved' when he was fired from his SVP position at Apple.
----
INTERVIEWER: There was an article about year ago that reported about clashes that you had with Scott Forstall at Apple when he was heading up the iPhone software unit. It talked about clashes and tensions and him raiding your team and problems. I just wonder if you can tell me what really happened then.
FADELL: I think we know what really happened. Scott got what he deserved and we move on.
INTERVIEWER: Can you just tell, I mean there is a lot of interest in what the relationship was because we haven't heard any kind of details from Apple itself. Were there really personally problems or was it deeper than that.
FADELL: I think what happened just a few weeks back was deserved and justified and it happened.
INTERVIEWER: Were there personal problems that you had with him. I mean how difficult was it working with him.
FADELL: Again, I think what he deserved he got.
INTERVIEWER: Where do you think that leaves Apple without him.
FADELL: I think Apple's in a great place. Actually, if you read some of the reports people in Cupertino were cheering when that event happened.
