New part numbers have surfaced on 9to5Mac showing at least two refreshed models of the iMac which Apple is expected to announce at its upcoming media event.
Listed as D7 and D8 in the SKUs above, we see two refreshed models listed, presumably for the 21 and 27-inch variants Apple currently sells. We have recently heard reports that Apple is planning to introduce new iMacs alongside what reports claimed were images of the refreshed iMac's internals.
Another recent report said that Apple is working on a considerably thinner design for the iMac with a curved rear shell that appears more "like a water droplet than the squared-off design seen in the current model."
Apple may start selling the refreshed iMacs on October 24th a day after the expected launch event.
