Apple has updated iOS 6 with a new App Store search results layout taken from Chomp.
When searching you're now shown the first result on a card that contains the app name, icon, rating, and a single screenshot. You then have to swipe to see subsequent results one by one. While the new design looks nice its usability is severely limiting. It's hard to believe that users will prefer to swipe through search results one by one.
Apple has also turned on Genius Recommendations, Purchased List, and Podcast Search for iOS 6 beta users.
