Apple Attorney to Judge Koh: 'I Am Not Smoking Crack'

Posted August 16, 2012 at 7:05pm by iClarified
Judge Koh is increasingly frustrated with lawyers for Apple and Samsung following the submission of a 75 page document covering 22 potential rebuttal witnesses the company wants to call.

After receiving the document Koh said, "unless you are smoking crack you know these witnesses are (not) going to be called."

Apple attorney Bill Lee responded saying, "First, I am not smoking crack I can promise you that."

Lee said that a while several witness might or might not be called, the majority would be called and they had timed their testimony to make sure they would get it all in.

Koh adamantly disagreed saying, "We're wasting the jury's time. You are being unreasonable."

"Come on, come on," she said. "This is ridiculous."

Apple said it would even waive some objections if needed. "We didn't mean to burden the court."

To which Koh responded, "What are you talking about you don't want to burden the court," pointing to the 75 page document.

AHAHAHAHA...This is GREAT stuff. Why aren't there cameras in the court? Apple is missing out on a new revenue stream: CONTENT! This stuff is priceless. I might actually get cable TV again just for CourtTV, although my Roku has something or other with them. Or stream it, for ****'s sake! What did I get a 1080p Apple TV 3 and Epson projector for if not to be entertained by Apple v. Samsung? I watched all the Macworld's, WWDC's, and other special events I could find. The infrastructure is already there, so if Apple wants to compete with Desperate Housewives with a Pay-Per_view event style gavel-to-gavel coverage of "The Apple Trials and Tribulations" (<--- not a bad title, right?), exclusively on Apple TV and iTunes! I wouldn't even wait for the torrents to come up with it! Promise!

Ok, this has gone far enough. The iPad case is lost; that leaves just the phones in litigation. Any one-eyed person can see the astounding similarity between the two. The bigger question here is who is doing the wrong thing? The shape of Samsung is definitely the imitation of the iPhone. Nevertheless, all modern cars and appliances look similar. Apple should have nailed Google instead of Samsung. Besides, the market is too big to have just 1 player. Apple should try to lower the price of iPhone worldwide to see if their production capacity stretch to the limit. That's exactly what Mercedes-Benz did to counter the threat from Lexus. I know my friends all buy iPhones insteady of Samsung due to carriers' subsidies, except for a few who are life-long Apple hater.
