Some nice mockup photos of the iPad mini next to the current generation iPad have been created by Nickolay Lamm and posted online by Gizmodo.

The mockups were created to show a 7.85-inch display, a new mini-dock port and a back camera.

Check them out below...

Won't matter as long as the cheapest 3/4G version is about $300.

Omg the apple logo looks to big Breaking news that Im happy with my ipad making it smaller i cant see that it will be much of a selling point myself, but people on the move all the time my feel its a great thing, as it can be tucked away out of sight. But as i see it, not such a great saving in size if that what is hoped from the mini ipad? What other reason for making it smaller? Cant think of any thing that would make me go out and buy it, sorry

I find it hard to believe this device will exist. The whole point of a device like this is to compete with the Kindle Fire or the Samsung Nook. But that wouldn't make any sense because this would also be competing with the iPod Touch. Unless of course the iPod Touch is just going bye bye for good. That's the only way I could see this device being released. Apple doesn't compete against themselves.

I would probably buy one. I don't have any version of iPad as I find them too large. It's as big as my MacBook air 11", not any more portable. I used to have an iPod touch but haven't had one for a few years since I received my iPhone 4. I was actually hoping they'd make a smaller iPad a long time ago to fill this gap for iPhone owners.

I'm not saying people wouldn't buy it, I'm saying there won't compete with their own products. Again, unless of course the iPod Touch is going away for good.

on the iPad mini the Apple Logo looks very big... think they have to make it a bit smaller ;)
