Sprint LTE Network Spotted in San Francisco Bay Area

Sprint's upcoming LTE network has been spotted in the San Francisco Bay Area ahead of schedule, reports Android Police.

Our tipster Seth reported getting 4G connectivity on his Galaxy Nexus around Palo Alto and Mountain View, getting Speedtest.net speeds of 13+ MBps down and 8MBps up. After looking into the situation, I found a number of users of the S4GRU forum confirming connectivity in the same area, along with Sunnyvale and Cupertino, the home of Apple.

Sprint expects to have largely completed the build out of its 4G LTE nationwide network by the end of 2013.


Sprint has also confirmed that it will continue to offer its unlimited data plan to iPhone owners, even if the new device supports LTE.
