Apple is reportedly planning to release an 'all-new' iPod touch and iPod nano in September/October, according to a new report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and relayed by MacRumors.
There are few details known about the new model; however, it's said they will feature the same in-cell touch display technology rumored to be used in the 'iPhone 5'.
Though all new design iPod touch and iPod nano will be launched, growth momentum will mainly come from the latter. The new iPod touch, like iPhone 5, uses in-cell panel, whose availability is limited in the initial stage. Shipments will therefore be hindered.
A recent report from Macotakara has Apple going with an oblong shape for the new iPod nano.
