Despite reportedly poor working conditions, thousands are lining up in hopes of getting a job at Foxconn's plant in Chengdu, reports M.I.C. Gadget.
Heavy rains have battered Chengdu over the past few days, but this won't stop young jobseekers lining up for Foxconn summer jobs at the Foxconn plant in Chengdu. Thousands of people were lining up, and they were armed with rain gear and umbrellas, standing out in the rain just for a chance to audition.
Job applicants need to pay 150 yuan ($24 US) to apply and must have good eyesight.
Foxconn will soon begin production of the iPhone 5 and is also rumored to be manufacturing the iPad mini.
