The Apple iPad greatly surpasses the Amazon Kindle and Samsung Galaxy Tab in consumer demand and satisfaction, according to a new ChangeWave Research report.
73% of planned tablet buyers say they'll purchase an iPad, 8% plan on buying a Kindle, and 6% intend to purchase a Galaxy Tab. Notably, Kindle buying is down two-thirds since November and customer satisfaction may be one of the reasons.
81% of new iPad buyers say they're very satisfied with their device. In comparison, only 41% of Kindle buyers are very satisfied with the tablet. The iPad 2 has a 71% very satisfied rating and the Samsung Galaxy Tab a 46% very satisfied rating.
ChangeWave also notes that 3% of consumers say they're very likely and 14% somewhat likely to buy an iPad-Mini if Apple releases one.
