The Leap is a small iPod sized USB peripheral that creates a 3D interaction space of 8 cubic feet to precisely interact with and control software on your laptop or desktop computer.

On the LEAP website it mentions that their partners are companies with products such as phones, tablets, and computers. Who's to say that's not apple an they just don't want you to know. We all know how secretive apple is.

Apple dropped the ball, period. They should've never let this company introduce their product to the world. They should've bought it out long before and integrated it into the new iMacs and MacBooks. As well as apple tvs.

if you go visit their website it says it will be available for Mac, windows 7/8, and Linux. They will start shipping in December 2012 or January 2013

When apple wanted voice recognition they bought the brightest star who were furthest forward- nuance. But apple have not bought this company. This means apple is either further down the development line than this company, or it has dropped the ball and didn't even see this coming. It's clearly the best way to interact. My guess is- apple are so focused on touch technology and the endlessly disappointing siri they haven't even considered this seriously.

These guys spent thousands on R&D for this and apple could spend millions!

Orrrrrrrr...Apple did approach the company and was turned down! If this were my company, I wouldn't sell cuz I can make more money by licensing this to alot more big names (Apple includeded) and keep it available to everyone. This way it won't end up as some exclusive proprietary add-on like Siri became.
