Target Confirms It Will Stop Selling the Amazon Kindle

Target has confirmed that it will soon stop selling Amazon Kindles and Kindle branded products, reports The Verge.

The retailer is said to be stopping the sale of Amazon products due to a "conflict of interest". Their official statement is below...

Target continually evaluates its product assortment to deliver the best quality and prices for our guests. Target is phasing out Kindles and Amazon- and Kindle-branded products in the spring of 2012. We will continue to offer our guests a full assortment of ereaders and supporting accessories including the Nook.

I'm guessing the reason Target has decided to stop selling Kindles is because Amazon is a competitor and there may not be enough margin to make it worth their while.

Is it just me, or does the target symbol viewed from the iPhone 4s on the iclarified home page with the blue highlight look 3D?
