Smart Dot is a small laser pointer accessory for your iPhone complete with its own iOS helper application.
Smart Dot combines iPhone and a presentation pointer, which could be used without batteries by simply plugging into the 3.5mm headphone mini-jack of an iPhone. Once linked to the Smart Dot application, the product creates a virtual pointer like a mouse on a presentation display. By touching on the iPhone display, users can freely operate the laser pointer and control simple mouse features.
Smart Dot is also available in presentation mode after the Smart Dot Host program is downloaded from the Tangram website (http://www.tangram.kr) and linked to the user's iPhone. The presentation mode provides innovative features and perspectives such as the track pad to control application feature or display switch that are clearly advanced from the existing presentation tools.
The small cylindrical Smart Dot with a diameter of 8.9mm is offered as a stylus pen type for touch pad and as a looped strap type. The metal material in refined silver color adds value to the slim and solid design.
The basic product package consists of a laser pointer as well as an aluminum stylus pen for touch pad, a silicon stopper for the stylus pen, a urethane pouch, and a looped silicon strap.
Smart Dot is available for pre-order at the Tangram website linked below and will hit the market on the first week of April. In markets outside of Korea, the product will be available after mid-April. Its price is expected to be around $45.
