To summarize: the nice folk who make your Apple products are happier and wealthier than most workers in their country, and safer than most workers in America.

A boycott in favour of increased wages would make it no cheaper to produce goods in China, leading to less Chinese manufacturing, higher unemployment, a poorer population, and a stagnating Chinese economy.
