The second developer preview of OS X Mountain Lion has brought location-based alerts to the Reminders app for Mac, reports 9to5Mac.
Interestingly, it appears the Mac itself will track your location when connected to Wi-Fi and alert you when you arrive at the specified location, just like an iPhone or iPad would.
The reminders can also be synced over the air to iOS devices using iCloud, meaning you can create a reminder from your computer and be reminded by your iPhone when you arrive at your destination.
