CNBC has just tweeted that according to its sources Apple will unveil a quad-core LTE iPad 3 in New York next week. The Loop's Jim Dalrymple disagrees with the location at least.
CNBC's tweet reads:
ALERT: Quad-Core iPad 3 with 4G LTE to be unveiled in New York next week. -Sources
Dalrymple then tweets:
Well @CNBC is wrong. It won't be in NY :)
Interestingly, Dalrymple didn't address any of the claimed specs. While features like a Retina Display are widely considered to be happening. It's less clear if the upcoming device will support LTE or feature a quad-core chip.
Recently, a report revealed that Apple is working on both an A5X and an A6 chip. Which one makes it into the iPad 3 will likely be revealed on March 7th.
