Best Buy is now offering a $50 discount on the iPad 2 and has reportedly begun marking the device as deleted in its inventory system, reports Engadget.
We've gotten a note from a blue shirted tipster, saddling the slate (known here as the MCQSULL/A W) with a "Deleted" status. What you're looking at is the entry for the white 32GB model, but we're told other models have been similarly flagged.
It's believed that Best Buy is trying to clear inventory ahead of the iPad 3 announcement which is rumored for March 7th.
