Evernote is planning to release a To-Do app with help from its acquisition of Minds Momentum, creators of the Egretlist application for iOS, reports TechCrunch.

Evernote CEO Phil Libin tells me that the company has scooped up four companies in 2011, including the beloved Skitch, a company called Notable Meals (which turned into "Food"), Readable (which became "Clearly"), and a startup called Minds Momentum - which will eventually morph into the company's upcoming To-Do List app. Exciting! (No seriously, half of my Evernotes are basically makeshift To-Do Lists. This is as exciting as it gets here in Tech Town folks.).

Egretlist describes itself as a beautiful and powerful to-do app that syncs to-do items, notebooks, tags and saved searches with Evernote. Personally, I find the interface truly cumbersome so hopefully it will get a refresh as it transitions to Evernote's official To-Do application.

You can purchase Egretlist from the App Store for $2.99.
