Apple VP Roger Rosner is heading up the company's digital textbook service which will be unveiled on Thursday, reports the WSJ.

According to people familiar with the matter, Mr. Rosner-Apple's vice president for productivity applications, in charge of its iWork document, spreadsheet and presentation software-is closely involved in developing the new digital-textbook service. The WSJ expects the event to focus around the release of tools to build digital textbooks; rather than textbooks that exist today.

Earlier this week ArsTechnica predicted that Apple will release 'GarageBand for E-Books' though Fortune believes their claims are over-hyped.
