Taking a closer look at recent ComScore data reveals that while Google's Android has a higher market share than Apple's iOS, Android's rate of growth has dropped sharply, falling below the iOS growth rate in November.
FORTUNE has compiled a few charts that show the steady decline of Android's market share growth.
Over the past year, Apple's market share has grown slowly but steadily month over month. Google's (GOOG) rate of market share growth, by contrast, has dropped sharply, from a high of 20% last January to a new low of 1.3% in ComScore's November data. In fact, in the report that Kovach offers as more proof that Android is "still walloping" iOS, Apple's market share actually grew faster month over month than Google's.
