Apple has released an updated 12 Days of Christmas Giveways app that gives users in select countries a free song, music video, app, or book on each day of the promotion.

You and your friends can download a fantastic selection of songs, music videos, apps and books for free. Each download will only be available for 24 hours. Get our special 12 Days of Christmas app to make it even easier to access your gifts while you're on the go.

Don't have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch? Don't worry. Come back 26 December to download gifts from your computer.

iTunes tells me that this is available only in the UK store - is this not available for US customers?

Make a UK account...that's what l had to do to get iHeartradio (it's only available in the US but l live in Canada)
