LandingZone is an amazing docking station for the MacBook Air that is seeking funding via KickStarter.

We love the MacBook Air for its beauty and functionality. The MacBook Air deserves a docking station that's just as beautiful and functional. So we designed one and we think it's pretty cool. We hope you agree.

Features:
● Total of 4 USB 2.0 ports; no need to attach a separate USB hub
● Built in 10/100T Ethernet port; no more dongles for the Ethernet or fumbling with the cable
● Built in Mini DisplayPort capable of driving resolution up to 2560x1440
● Built in locking port compatible with all the Kensington Locks; now you can secure your MacBook Air
● Two models to support either the 11" or 13" version of the MacBook Air (2010 or later)
● Beautifully designed and engineered for simplicity, elegance, reliability and functionality (patent pending)
● Comes with US power adapter which accepts wide range of input voltage (100~240 Vac)

Early bird pledges of $139 were initially available for the LandingZone; however, those have already sold out. So far $13,283 of the $50,000 goal has been pledged. You can still get your own unit for a pledge of $159. There are 33 days to go.

Take a look at the video below for more information.

This is only good to lock the macair. Otherwise why not just Thunderbolt to your Thunderbolt Display and have everything else connected to the display. 1 cord and power. rather than a dock. Plus the Dock holds the Air and a way that takes up a ton of valuable desk real estate. It's better to have a vertical holder. It's not a bad idea but for 200usd is a total ripoff. It can't cost that much to manufacturer.

Add USB 3.0 and thunderbolt connection before I consider spending money on this.

How about a Gigabyte Network. 10/100 is just so outdated.
