Apple Orders Revised Downward Due to Sluggish Economies?

Apple and other companies have reduced orders to Taiwan-based PCB manufactures for Q4 due to sluggish economies, reports DigiTimes. Combined orders are likely to slip 15% or more, according to industry sources.

The order slump was anticipated also in part due to fewer-than-expected orders from Apple, the sources indicated. Suppliers to Apple were informed that orders for the fourth quarter have been revised downward because of the sluggish US and Europe economies, the sources revealed.

An earlier report from JPMorgan analysts in Hong Kong said Apple has dropped its Q4 iPad orders by 25%.
