Indie developer Dale Gillard has announced the release of Token 1.1, a menu bar app for iWork '09. This update improves the Recent menu by displaying iWork documents saved on an external drive as well as your Mac, and by providing preferences to customise the menu. New preferences are also available for the Auto Save feature. Token is available from the Mac App Store for $2.99 USD.

Token displays your iWork documents and personal templates directly in your Mac's menu bar. Don't wait for an app to launch, then choose a document you've only just used and finally wait while it opens. Instead jump to the Mac menu bar and immediately open a document from the Recent menu. This menu lists your most recent iWork documents from anywhere on your Mac or another drive, displays the folder a document is saved in and a shortcut key to open this folder in the Finder.

OS X Snow Leopard users can relax and focus on their content as Token automatically saves their iWork documents. Change the default preferences to control which iWork app auto saves its documents and how often. OS X Lion users are supported by the new Auto Save feature in the recent iWork 9.1 update.

Make iWork do more using AppleScripts you can download and customise. Visit the Token Extras web page from Token's menu bar to download a selection of simple AppleScripts to customise for your own tasks. You'll also find links to other iWork resources on this web page, plus a list of frequently asked questions.

Supported Languages:
* English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Portuguese
