Seeking an innovative way to promote their hip new iPad magazine, CFG (Cosmo For Guys), Hearst Magazines challenged viral marketing agency Thinkmodo to come up with a cool way to launch their new app ...and "iPad Head Girl" was born.

The iPad Head assembly was designed and fabricated by Clockwork Apple in Brooklyn, N.Y. It was custom fitted to the actress' head. The video took place in New York City's Bryant Park on one of the hottest days of the summer.

The crew recorded the girl walking four times directly onto each of the iPads. To keep the image smooth, the camera operator used a custom iPad mount on a "Glide-Cam." To see where she was going, the actress wore a pair of video glasses connected to a video camera hidden inside her purse. Ice packs were applied to her neck between takes.
