AllThingsD is firmly stating that the iPhone 5 will launch in October and not September as previously predicted.
So those rumors claiming the iPhone 5 will debut in late September? They're wrong. Instead, it's going to be an October surprise - the month in which Apple plans to launch its next-gen iPhone.
The site is also discrediting a report that AT&T has blacked out vacation time for the iPhone 5's release at the end of September.
"I don't know why AT&T's calling for all hands on deck those weeks, but it's not for an iPhone launch," said one of their sources.
The source wouldn't specify a specific launch date but only reveal that it was sometime in October. Other sources said it would be later in the month.
