Mirage Labs has announced Video (&Photos) Email 1.0.0 for iPad, the first app that truly extends Email Sharing capability of the default Photos app. iPad users no longer would be frustrated with the message "Video Is Too Long" when trying to attach video larger than 54 seconds, because of the native Photos app's own limitations.

Moreover, they can now attach over 50 photos in a single email while the native Photos app limits them to send 5 photos at a time. There was thus a keenly felt need to share longer videos and more than 5 photos privately through email in response to which this app was developed.

The app gives a lot more flexibility for attaching videos and photos to email. Using various compression profiles, users have an option to share videos varying from HD to lower resolutions. Similarly, Photos can be attached in Full resolution or compressed to lower resolutions. The user therefore has the flexibility to share videos and photos in full HD resolution, or compress them to desired level and attach as many as possible. More so, the app also gives users flexibility in renaming attachments to file names of choice.

Initial user testing revealed that the app was capable of compressing over 10 minutes of video and sent to Gmail, MobileMe, yahoo accounts successfully. Over 50 photos could be attached by slightly lowering the resolution in settings.

Pricing and Availability:
Video (&Photos) Email 1.0.0 is $2.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photography category.
