St. Clair Software has announced the release of Default Folder X 4.4. This release adds features to smooth your workflow and improve compatibility in our award-winning utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs. Honored with Macworld Magazine's Editors' Choice Award for Best System Enhancement Utility, Default Folder X makes Open and Save dialogs "work the way they should."

Default Folder X's custom keyboard shortcuts put your favorite and recent folders at your fingertips. Pop-up menus let you navigate your folders and open Finder windows. Default Folder X 4.4 is a free update that adds features to smooth your workflow in file dialogs and in the Finder. Choosing favorite folders will now connect to servers that aren't already on your Desktop, file dialogs and menus are faster, and file dialogs are enhanced with a new gesture and keyboard shortcut. There are also compatibility improvements for Firefox 4, Quark XPress, REALbasic, Chromium, Brother ControlCenter, Shimo and Neu. This version is also compatible with the latest developer preview release of Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
