Apple has reportedly placed an order to build 380,000 new Sandy Bridge MacBook Airs this month, according to Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
AppleInsider learned from the analyst that roughly 55 percent (or 209,000) of those MacBook Airs will be of the 11.6-inch size which have been slightly more popular due to their ultra portability and lower entry price.
Kuo says Apple will do a final run of 80,000 units of the current MacBook Air bringing the total production for June to 460,000.
In addition to the faster Sandy Bridge processors, Apple is expected to add Thunderbolt to the new notebook.
