Apple execs are super excited about the future of iOS, according to Goldman Sachs analyst Bill Shope who just met with COO Tim Cook, retail SVP Ron Johnson, and CFO Peter Oppenheimer.
Business Insider relays information from Shope's report where he says, "the company appeared more overtly optimistic on the long-term prospects for the iOS platform than it has been in quite some time."
Tim Cook told Shope that "he sees no reason why the tablet market shouldnt eclipse the PC market over the next several years."
Shope is predicting that Apple will sell 8.1 million iPads for the June quarter, a 72% increase from last year.
Apple will unveil the next version of iOS at WWDC 2011 on June 6th.
